Our Team

The professors of the Master have a mean practical experience of 15 years in the area of Artificial Intelligence and AI agents governance. Most of them have a Ph.D.

Tenured Associate Professor of Economics (Finance) and of Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence). Fulbright Visiting Scholar in several US Universities and consultant for several Spanish Fortune 500 companies and for the Government. He has authored more than 100 publications and has lectured in the USA, Asia and Latin America. Director of the Laboratory of Computational Finance and Head of the Chair in Big Data and Predictive Analytics in Banking of the University of Alcalá.
Ignacio Olmeda, Ph.D.
Master's Director

Computer Scientist specialized in AI research and Data Analytics. He has a master’s degree in Big Data, and an expert program in Deep Learning. He works at Altran "World Class Center for Analytics" (Tessella) since 2015 where now at days he leads the AI R&D in the Spanish division.
Daniel Martínez
Lecturer

Luis Usero holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad Carlos III and a PhD and Master's in University Teaching from Universidad de Alcalá. He has published numerous research articles and collaborates biweekly with Onda Cero as an Artificial Intelligence expert, contributing to eldiario.es and the Instituto Franklin. Currently, he coordinates the Cognitive Science research group and heads the Computer Science Department at Universidad de Alcalá

Juan Andres Aviles is a Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He has more than 25 years of experience in the Information Technology sector, mainly at IBM Spain. Since his beginnings in the sector, he has always been associated with new technologies and innovation. He currently holds a position as technical director for Spain, Portugal and Greece, leading a team of IT architects with a focus on Industrial solutions, cognitive solutions and blockchain.
